Sean Kingston let all of his fans know that he is “100 percent back” and fully recovered from a serious jet-skiing accident earlier this year.
According to MTV News, Sean appeared at Sunday night’s Teen Choice Awards looking healthy and cheerful. Before the awards ceremony, he stopped to talk with MTV about feeling better and being back in action.
"I’m doing great. I’m excited to be at the Teen Choice Awards," he said. "I’m feeling good. I’m feeling blessed."
He received a standing ovation at the award show while presenting the Choice Male Artist award to his buddy Justin Bieber. Justin also offered up words of encouragement to Sean and promised that they had “more memories” to come.
Sean shared his road to recovery story with MTV on “MTV First: Sean Kingston.” In the interview, he discussed the severity of the injuries that he sustained during the Memorial Day weekend incident.
Despite the seriousness of his injuries, which included undergoing heart surgery, Sean somehow kept the details of the accident from the media and his fans.
"A lot of people didn’t know how devastating it was, so when people heard about the story you could tell people were very shocked and [also] very supportive," he said. "To the fans out there, I just want to say I love you all.”
