Evelyn Lozada said she and fiancé Chad Ochocinco are getting hitched by the end of next year.
Chad and Evelyn didn’t waste any time getting engaged last year, but up until now, they’ve been a little more relaxed about a wedding date. Just a couple of months ago, neither seemed in a big rush to start planning the big day.
It seems there’s been a shift in their attitudes, however. During a chat with HollywoodLife.com, Evelyn revealed that she doesn’t plan to be a fiancée forever and that the couple has at least set a deadline for their nuptials.
"There’s nothing set in stone, but either way we’re going to get married in 2012 whether it’s televised or not," she stated, adding that they would likely get hitched next summer. And Evelyn was quick to clarify that her wedding day would be scheduled around what’s most convenient for her and Chad not TV. "We’re not opposed, but obviously if it works with scheduling. Obviously, you know he has a football schedule. We would need to work that out."
Evelyn and Chad might wind up needing all the time they can get while designing their wedding festivities because their styles are so different. "I would like something small," Evelyn admitted, "but Chad being who he is wants something bigger and more over-the-top. We’ll see if we can meet somewhere in the middle."
Although Chad and Evelyn had been to a feritility clinic in hopes of having twins, the "Basketball Wives" star stated that she’s holding off on kids until after becoming Chad’s wife.
"That’s the good thing with fertility: you can pick and choose when you want to have babies," she said. "We want to have the babies after the wedding."
