Lance Gross could be bypassing women who spend all day on social media in his search for a wife.
Facebook and Twitter do an excellent job of keeping people connected, but in Lance’s opinion, the sites are no good for relationships. Between questionable pictures and sometimes-suspect postings (just to name a few pitfalls), social media can become a treacherous battleground from the moment you indicate your relationship status.
"If I had my way, the woman I marry, she wouldn’t be a part of Twitter. She wouldn’t be on Facebook," Lance told NecoleBitchie.com at the UNCF Evening of Stars. "But I mean it’s all in what you make of it. It could be a good thing."
The actor admits that he uses social media professionally as a means of keeping up with his millions of fans. "I love Twitter," he confessed. "As an entertainer, it’s a way to connect with the fans and I think that’s important."
Unfortunately, Lance got a little closer than he intended last week when he accidently tweeted his phone number to his followers. As soon as fans saw it, his cellphone was ringing non-stop with phone calls and texts.
"I got about 350 text messages and picture messages in an hour. It’s crazy. I couldn’t even change my phone number from my own phone. I had to use my boy’s phone," Lance recounted. " It was ringing on top of rings—the ring wasn’t even finishing!"
