Soon, you won’t have to shell out $8 to see Oscar nominee Viola Davis show off her acting chops.
EURweb.com reports that Viola has landed a recurring role on Showtime’s “The United States of Tara.” The original series stars Toni Collette as a mom with multiple personalities.
Viola will be featured in seven episodes next season playing Lynda B. Dozier. She’s an artist that will be a big part in the lives of Tara (played by Toni) and her daughter, Kate.
More than 2.6 million people tuned in to watch the premiere of “The United States of Tara,” making it the most popular premiere Showtime has ever had for one of its original series. The new season is set to premier sometime in early 2010.
