Rihanna to drop sixth album in November

Rihanna doesn’t want to miss out on the Black Friday rush, so she’s dropping new music before Thanksgiving.

Island Def Jam has just announced the Bajan bombshell’s new album will hit retailers on November 21. Coincidentally, Mary J. Blige’s My Life 2: The Journey Continues comes out the exact same day!

The as-yet untitled project will be Rihanna’s sixth studio release in as many years since her 2005 debut, Music of the Sun. The new album will come almost exactly one year after her Loud was released in November 2010.

That’s not the only big Rihanna news today! The "Man Down" singer has been teasing her new single "We Found Love" all week, but it wasn’t officially supposed to drop until October 11.

Well it seems Rihanna didn’t get the message, because she used "We Found Love" to launch her new Rihanna: UNLOCKED campaign at 9 a.m. today. She leaked the single simultaneously on her Facebook fan page and the radio.

The tone of "We Found Love" is just as sparkly as the track’s lyrics: "Yellow diamonds in the light; And we’re standing side by side. As your shadow crosses mine; What it takes to come alive." The words are pretty easy to remember as there aren’t too many of them to commit to memory. The only other line is: "we found love in a hopeless place."

What "We Found Love" lacks in lyrics, Calvin Harris more than makes up for with the beat, which is perfect for any techno club. Chris Brown seems to approve of the song, too! Rhymes With Snitch reports that he briefly tagged some of the lyrics from Rihanna’s song as one of his favorites on Twitter. He has since untagged the line "we found love in a hopeless place."
