NBC cancels ‘Playboy Club’
After only three episodes, NBC has canceled "The Playboy Club." The network announced the move Tuesday.
The show, starring Naturi Naughton, suffered low ratings that only declined from the premiere. Monday’s episode only pulled in 3.4 million viewers. "The Playboy Club" has effectively been cut from the NBC lineup, and it doesn’t seem that there are any plans to run the remainder of the season.

Who knew Tristan Wildes could beat box? The "90210" star has just released an a cappella cover of Frank Ocean’s "Think About You."
In his version, Tristan provides all the vocals and background music while still managing to do Frank’s hit justice.
Taye Diggs jokes about inerracial marriage
When Taye Diggs brought home his wife Idina Menzel, it didn’t faze his mom. In a recent interview on "Sway In the Morning" Taye reveled that his mom actually expected him to get down with the swirl.
"My mother said, ‘I told you!’ She always thought—I hate this, but I’m being honest! She said, ‘I always knew you were gonna marry a White girl!’" joked Taye, who admitted that the confession irritated him at first. Everyone gets along, though, he stated. "She loves my wife."
Actually Idina’s side of the family is very accepting as well, and his first introduction to her family went smoothly.
"I said, ‘You tough with the fiery cross in your yard!’" Taye said with a laugh. "No, I gotta say I was really lucky. I don’t know what they felt on the inside, but I was very fortunate. They’re very loving, accepting. They’re great grandparents. I can’t lie, I had no issues there."
Beyoncé surprise college campus
Pandemonium broke out at the University of Houston on Tuesday as Beyoncé stepped onto the campus for a special event.
While Bey was simply at the school to support her mother, who was being honored for her accomplishments as a businesswoman, students flooded the library to catch a glimpse of the "Countdown" diva.

Kevin Hart heads to TV
Comedian Kevin Hart has been cast in a recurring role on “Modern Family.”
On the sitcom, Kevin will play the neighbor of Phil Dunphy, according to Entertainment Weekly.
It’s been a stellar year for Kevin who hosted the BET Awards in June and whose film Laugh at My Pain has earned more than $2 million so far.

Justin Bieber recording with Boyz II Men
Justin Bieber is pulling some impressive duets for his upcoming Christmas album. The Canadian singer has announced that he’ll be releasing a holiday album titled Under the Mistletoe in November.
It’s no big shock that he snagged Usher to appear on the album, but the Bieb has also lined up collaborations with Busta Rhymes, Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey.
Kenan Thompson as Tyler Perry
“Saturday Night Live” regular Kenan Thompson took on the role of Tyler Perry on a recent episode of the late-night sketch comedy.
“Some of you may know my films, like Madea’s Family Reunion or Why Did I Get Married? Or you may know my sitcoms like “Meet the Browns” or “House of Payne,” or you may be White," Kenan joked.
In an attempt to explain how he’s become worth approximately $30 million a year, the phony Tyler said, “I write, direct and star in all of my films. They cost $400 to make and every Black person in America goes to see them.”
