Two-time “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Camille McDonald wants her fans to know she’s not lost her fire.
“I felt like they drowned out my entire personality. I did not get my due justice of camera time,” said Camille who was just recently eliminated from cycle 17’s All-Star competition.
“I don’t want America walking away thinking that Camille lost her fire. Absolutely not true,” Camille told Sister 2 Sister. “I was just like blown.”
The model who first came to national attention on the show’s second cycle said she agreed to participate in the All-Star season to help brand herself and offer a different, “softer” side of her that wasn’t portrayed the first time around.
“I’m just happy that America got to see another side of a woman of color. Maybe if I’d b!t_#ed more, I would have gotten more camera time. We’re always portrayed as super aggressive, angry and sexually driven,” said Camille who’s at least pleased that the show didn’t turn her into a stereotype.
Although she didn’t win the All-Star title, Camille said being on the show afforded her the opportunity to work with a new team, and she has some new projects on the way.
“When you have a signature walk you need a signature shoe. I’m working on a shoe line. I love stilettos, and I’m working on a cookbook that has recipes from around the world. The cookbook also has some health and wellness tips,” said Camille.
