Jennifer Hudson surprised producers and audience members by not showing up for this weekend’s Michael Jackson tribute.
Jen, who was reportedly already paid for the gig, announced via Twitter that she decided to back out of the show at the last minute due to "major production issues."
TMZ.com reports that Jen felt producers didn’t give her enough time with the material, but supposedly she got her music at the same time as the other performers.
One of Jen’s reps said that although her decision caught organizers off guard that they "completely understood." However, a source close to the show said that was not true.
Still, with or without Jen, the show had to go on. Luckily concert goers were still able to enjoy performances by Cee-Lo Green, Leona Lewis, Yolanda Adams and Smokey Robinson.
Beyoncé wasn’t able to be at the show, but the "Countdown" diva delivered a spot-on performance of "Where You Are."
Ne-Yo, however, made it to the stage for his rendition of "Billie Jean."
