Actress Denise Vasi will replace Stacey Dash on the upcoming season of “Single Ladies.”
While VH1 hasn’t announced whether a new actress will be cast in the role of Val, a character Stacey originated in the premiere season of Queen Latifah’s hit sitcom, Denise is filling out the trio by joining the show as Raquel.
“Denise is the perfect addition to the ‘Single Ladies’ cast,” said Latifah. “She is bringing a fun, new element to the show.”
Like Val, Raquel is a businesswoman and friend to LisaRaye McCoy’s character, Keisha.
Raquel is described as a “savvy” and “sophisticated businesswoman from a prominent Southern family on a quest to discover passion.”
Denise may look familiar to fans of “All My Children,” and she’s also been featured in USA’s “White Collar” and HBO’s “How to Make It in America.”
The blue-eyed beauty, who has also worked as a model, told PushyDreamers.com that she always wanted to be an actress.
“Acting was something that’s always been inside me… No matter what you’re doing in life, the only way you’re going to be really great at doing something is by doing what you want to do,” she said. “You have to really love what you do.”
