KFC is hoping you can give them a little flavor, and now they’re giving you more time to cook something up.
The chicken chain announced that it’s extending the deadline for its Hitmaker song contest. The competition, part of KFC’s Pride 360˚ program, was designed to give undiscovered talent a chance to shine on the national level.
Aspiring artists can submit original tracks, but all entries must include the following words: individual, family, community and heritage. At stake is the top prize of a Hitmaker recording studio and the chance to be featured on the Pride 360˚ album.
Since game recognizes game, KFC could think of no more fitting judges than hip-hop stars and philanthropists Mc Lyte and David Banner.
“There are so many talented individuals out there, and this is a great way to find them,” said MC Lyte. “I look forward to showcasing artists who can use their skill on the microphone to talk about things that are really important—family and community.”
If you’re interested, you can upload your audio and picture to the competition’s Web site or mail it to the following address:

All entries must be in by August 16; voting runs from August 17-23, and the winner will be announced on August 31.
