Evelyn Lozada is planning to walk down the aisle with fiancé Chad Ochocinco later this year, but she’s not expecting her man to be much help finalizing wedding plans.
“He could [not] care less,” Evelyn said about Chad’s interest in their ceremony. “He’s like, ‘I’m going to make sure I’m there.’”
That means all of the important decisions will be left to Evelyn, except for maybe when it comes to the music for the event.
“What he would like to be in control of is probably the music. He’s very in tune with music. I mean, if you looked at his iTunes library, you would be surprised as to what he has in there. I think that’s definitely something that’s important to him,” she told ESPN.
Although they’ve only been together for a few years, Evelyn talks about Chad with the familiarity of someone who’s been around the NFL player for decades. She’s even part of his pre-game rituals.
"Before every game I make him two boiled eggs with peaches and cream oatmeal. That’s what he wants to eat,” she said. “He’s a very simple guy. Aside from his IHOP addiction, that’s what he would like to eat before the game."
The two are already settling into their comfortable roles, and like a dutiful wife-to-be, Evelyn was in Indianapolis for the Super Bowl, cheering for Chad. That’s not a totally new concept for the “BBW” star, who once dated the NBA’s Antoine Walker. However, there are a few slight differences between dating an NBA athlete and an NFL player.
Chad’s “season is way shorter than basketball. And they have curfews. And we can’t stay at the same hotels. Oh, and we’re freezing sitting outside!” said Evelyn, who didn’t even follow football before meeting Chad.
“He watches every game, so I’m forced to watch it now. And I actually enjoy it," she said.
