The official results of Michael Jackson’s autopsy won’t be released this week as anticipated.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office told the Associated Press that the results probably aren’t coming out until some time next week. Originally, officials said they would be released this week, but they didn’t divulge what has caused the delay.
However, authorities speaking on the condition of anonymity said detectives are proceeding with their investigation under the theory that Michael’s heart failure was caused by Propofol.
It’s been reported that the entertainer’s physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, had admitted to giving Michael the powerful anesthetic just hours before his death. Since Michael’s passing, Conrad’s offices and home have been searched as part of the case. Police said that he is cooperating with the investigation and that he has not been labeled as a suspect at this time.
