A college graduate in New York is suing her school for $70,000 because she still hasn’t found a job.
The Associated Press reports that Trina Thompson filed suit against Monroe College in Bronx Supreme Court last week, trying to recover the amount she paid for tuition.
The 27-year-old woman graduated with a bachelor’s degree in information technology in April, but she hasn’t been able to find a paying job in her field yet. So who’s to blame? She claims that her alma mater’s Office of Career Advancement hasn’t given her any leads on as advertised.
A rep for Monroe said the suit is without merit and they assert that school does help its former students find employment.
