Despite reports that Bobby Brown has been unable to spend time with Bobbi Kristina while she deals with the loss of her mother, the singer said his daughter is doing better.
“My daughter Bobbi-Kristina is doing much better,” he said in a written statement. “We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi-Kristina.”
Bobby, who flew to L.A. to be by Bobbi Kristina’s side on Sunday, is denying reports that a rift exists between him and Whitney Houston’s in-laws.
Although Bobby and Whitney divorced in 2007, he expressed his love for Whitney Saturday night during a New Edition concert, but sources told TMZ that Cissy was not impressed.
It was reported that Whitney’s mother was keeping Bobby away from comforting Bobbi, who is 18 and a legal adult.
TMZ reports that Cissy was never a huge fan of Whitney’s ex-husband; however, Bobby is expected to attend the funeral on Saturday.
In the meantime, Bobby is still asking for the public to respect his family’s privacy, especially that of his daugther.
"She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected,” read the statement.
