Idris Elba and Taraji P. Henson are slated to star in a new film from Think Like a Man producer, Will Packer.
The film, No Good Deed (not to confused with Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds), is about “a former DA-turned-stay-at-home mom and her two small children who are terrorized and kidnapped from their home when she invites a good-looking mysterious stranger in to wait for help after his car ran off the road,” Screen Gems execs told The Hollywood Reporter.
Will Packer, who worked with Taraji in Think Like a Man, will be producing the thriller, which reportedly begins taping in April.
Taraji is also currently a regular on CBS’ “Persons of Interest.” The actress also recently won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special for her role in Lifetime’s “Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story.”
Idris has been busy this year with several films, including Thor and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. He picked up a Golden Globe for his starring role in the BBC’s “Luther.”

No Good Deed doesn’t sound like the stereotypical Black film. Are you glad that Black actors are playing lead roles in this thriller? Do you think Black audiences will support this film the way many do Black comedies?
