Denzel Washington is looking to make a return to TV as an executive producer.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, he’s working on a police drama called “Bill Stiles,” which is based on a short story written by Virgil Williams.
The show, following on an ex-gang member who now works as a cop, was originally developed for cable, but has since been retooled for a primetime slot on network TV. Fox is reportedly in talks to air “Billy Stiles;” supposedly, Denzel was present for the pitch meeting with them.
We expect that the show will be good because Virgil knows a thing or two about writing for hit shows. He’s lent his talents to shows like “24” and “ER.” He penned this new cop drama during a lull in his writing career.
No cast for “Billy Stiles,” but we know that Denzel can easily play a law enforcement officer.
