Another celebrity couple is sharing its big day with the public! VH1 just announced that it will be taping and airing the upcoming wedding of “Basketball Wives” star, Evelyn Lozada and NFL player, Chad Ochocinco.
Not only will their wedding day be filmed, the days leading up to the special day will also be broadcast for the VH1 audience on a show called “Ev and Ocho.” The show will be an eight-part series, set to premiere September 2012.
The drama-filled television network is sure to show the best of times between the couple without excluding the rough patches along the way. All the decision-making and planning for the wedding will be up close for the viewers to enjoy.
“Audiences will get a glimpse into all aspects of Evelyn and Chad’s relationship, from the tumultuous times, having to deal with cheating rumors and heartache, to dealing with the often negative and always invasive tabloid press, social media criticism of their partnership and tough family decisions about who’ll walk Evelyn down the aisle,” read a release from VH1.
Fans will have to wait and see if Ochocinco will really walk down the aisle, if Evelyn’s brother and father will make an appearance, and what kind of fashion sense the two will bring to the altar.
Evelyn recently told TMZ that the number of invited guests has just increased to 250. Included on that list is Chad’s New England Patriot quarterback, Tom Brady and model wife Giselle, who Evelyn is hoping will arrive to their big event.
TMZ reported that the two will see a lot of money for the series. “Our sources say negotiations finally wrapped last week and the two will each take home $300,000 for about two months of work.”
Evelyn and Chad join an ever-growing list of celebs whose weddings were aired for reality TV. That includes LaLa and Carmelo Anthony, Sherri Shepherd and Lamar Sally and Niecy Nash and Jay Tucker. Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s journey down the aisle is set to air on Bravo soon.
