Think Like a Man did huge numbers this weekend at the box office and in bookstores!

Think Like a Man debuted #1, raking in $33 million in ticket sales, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. It was only being shown on 2,015 screens across the country, which would have put most other films at a distinct disadvantage. With box office returns that high, it dethroned The Hunger Games as the #1 movie in America.

Opening night alone, Think Like a Man made $12.2 million nearly recouping the cost of making the film! Needless to say, executives at Sony are ecstatic.

"The movie had a negative cost between $12M-$13M, so we’re thrilled," one Sony official said in a statement. “Any weekend where you make back the negative cost in the first weekend is a good weekend in our books.”

Coming in at #2 this weekend was The Lucky One, which played 3,155 screens this weekend, earning just over $22.8 million.

But Think Like a Man didn’t just have a big weekend in theaters. Copies of Steve Harvey’s book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, were flying off the shelves, too! In fact, retailers sold so many copies of the book, on which the film is based, that it has reclaimed its spot atop the New York Times‘ Bestsellers List.

The cast and crew were so grateful for the support they had to say thank you. Take a look!
