The Godfather of Go-Go, Chuck Brown, has passed away at the age of 75.
Chuck’s daughter told WJLA that the Washington D.C. musician died earlier today. He had been hospitalized for pneumonia since last Tuesday.
Chuck is best known for his hit "Bustin’ Loose," which hit #1 on the MCA charts back in 1978.
As of late he’d postponed a number of gigs due to his health problems.
There’s no word yet on when Chuck will be laid to rest.
