BET might be down two more major personalities as rumors swirl that Terrence J and Rocsi Diaz might quit "106 & Park."
Just days after Tia Mowry announced her exit from "The Game," there are whispers that Rocsi and Terrence J could be jumping ship too.
According to the New York Post, the VJs want to leave BET in order to pursue their acting careers.
Most recently, Terrence appeared in the hit romantic comedy Think Like a Man, which made $33 million on opening weekend. He also had a recurring role on "The Game" during its first season on BET.
Reportedly Rocsi has landed a role on a film starring alongside Lynn Whitfield, and she appeared in Gang of Roses 2.
Neither Terrence J nor Rocsi have commented on the rumors.
This wouldn’t be the first time that BET has had to replace both hosts for the show. In 2010, original hosts AJ and Free visited BET for the 10-year anniversary of "106 & Park" and rehashed what it was like to leave the show.
"I just knew when he called me..when I heard his voice that something wasn’t right," Free recalled when asked about how she took the news that AJ was leaving. "I remember just looking at AJ’s face and falling on my knees because I knew he was about to cry." "Wow, that day is kind of crazy. There were some new people brought in; we couldn’t see eye to eye," AJ explained. "It was a point in my life where I had transcended from a boy to a man."
Contrary to popular belief Free was not fired from the show. Instead, she asserted that her departure from the music video rundown was completely her choice.
"I decided to leave ’106 & Park’ myself. I decided that my ceiling had been met. I didn’t sign my contract and no one believed that I didn’t sign my contract," said Free. "They thought it was about money. It was a very hard decision to leave but I decided that I wanted to and I did."
