Ray J is free to rest up at home now that he’s been released from the hospital following the Billboard Awards.
Ray’s camp told S2S that the "One Wish" singer is back home in Los Angeles after being rushed to an undisclosed facility in Las Vegas. He was there while suffering from severe exhaustion and jet lag.
He left the hospital Tuesday after an "extensive battery of tests to make sure that he did not have a blood clot in his lungs which is potentially a deadly condition that can occur following a long haul plane flight."
In other words, doctors were concerned that Ray might have a pulmonary embolism, which is the same thing that landed Tamar Braxton’s hubby Vincent Herbert in the hospital for weeks. Serena Williams also had to take a break from tennis last year because of the condition. Ray’s rep pointed out that a pulmonary embolism also "took the life of hip-hop legend Heavy D."
The hospital stay followed a 32-hour roundtrip flight from China and a four-hour drive to Las Vegas so that he could attend the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.
