When you’re married to the most powerful man in the country, alone time is hard to come by. That’s never been a problem for Michelle Obama, though.
The first lady shared with People magazine that she and President Barack Obama always have a little chat before she dozes off for the night.
“We have a ritual where he tucks me in, because I’m usually in bed before anybody. He’ll come and turn the lights out and give me a kiss and we’ll talk. He’s like, ‘Ready to be tucked?’ I’m like, ‘Yes I am.’”
Of course, this is just one of their many moments together during the day. Dinner in the Obama household goes down at 6:30 p.m. every night. For the first 30 minutes, the first couple check in with their daughters Malia and Sasha, who then go walk the family’s dog Bo. Once the girls are up from the table, Barack and Michelle have some time to talk and chill out.
It’s all about making time for the Obamas, and it’s a routine they seem to have down pat.
