Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall might be done on "The Game," but BET is looking for their replacements.
BET is searching for a new twosome that can fill in for the Melanie and Derwin Davis, who have moved back to the Washington D.C. area so that Mel can start her career as a doctor, Zap2It.com reports.
Fans are sad to see Tia and Pooch leave as "The Game" centered on the pair from the start (remember their humble beginnings as a special episode of "Girlfriends"?). But even with them out of the picture, the show must go on.
First up, BET wants someone to play a 20-year-old former child star named Kiera. After being in the spotlight since the age of five (and starring on a "Cosby"-esque show), she’s having a hard time finding more grown-up roles.
Whoever plays Kiera needs to be bright, charming.
Then casting directors are hoping to find a guy to play Bryce "The Blueprint" Westbrook. As a #1 draft pick from the Ivy League, he’s the San Diego Saber’s newest IBM. With a Heisman Trophy and an incredible mind, though, he makes his teammates a little nervous.
There’s no word on when casting may begin, but it will be interesting to see who the network picks.
Also, it’s not clear whether Kiera and Bryce will be playing the central couple on the show or whether writers will shift that focus to one of the match ups from the season finale. Jason Pitts and his new bride Chardonnay are staying together, and Tasha Mack may finally have found her Mr. Right in Pookie from Richmond.
