Fans and haters alike know they can find Evelyn Lozada on VH1, and now the “Basketball Wives” star is heading to Oprah Winfrey’s OWN.
“Hey Everyone! I’m with Iyanla and can’t wait for you guys to see me on her show ‘Iyanla Fix My Life’ on OWN,” Evelyn wrote on her blog.
“Ev & Ocho” hits the airwaves in September, and right around that same time, Evelyn will be appearing on Iyanla Vanzant’s new TV series.
Iyanla, the author who mended fences with estranged mentor Oprah in 2011, will host the new show on which “secrets will be revealed, truths will be uncovered and emotions will come out as Iyanla teaches [viewers] how to pull back the curtain on what is broken,” the website reads.
As “Basketball Wives” fans remember, Evelyn harbored feelings of resentment toward her absentee dad. The two had a tearful reunion during season 2 of the controversial reality series.
It’s no secret that Evelyn also has a bit of a temper. The fiery Latina has engaged in fisticuffs more than once on the show, and she’s been known to hurl an inanimate object or two at those she can’t quite get her hands on. That’s not quite in line with what most expect to see on OWN.
However, Evelyn has vowed to become less volatile in the future and "Basketball Wives" has since instituted a no violence policy for subsequent seasons.
Fans will have to wait until Iyanla’s show premieres to find out exactly which issues she tackles with Evelyn.
