Carmelo Anthony has earned his place in the history books by breaking an Olympic record.
It was raining threes last night as the U.S. Men’s Basketball Team took on Nigeria at the 2012 London Olympics.
The New York Knick earned Team USA 37 points, breaking the record of 31 points previously held by Stephon Marbury. The majority of those points were three-pointers, 10 in all, which is also a U.S. record.
Carmelo’s efforts went a long way to helping the U.S. beat Nigeria 156-73, the new Olympic record for most points earned during a game.
