"The Daily Show" is making an excellent case as to why you can’t always attach a political stance to a product.
Chick-fil-A has come under fire since its president, Dan Cathy, stated that he was not in favor of gay marriage. Then, former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee called for Chick-fil-A appreciation day on Wednesday. Whether they were anti-gay marriage or just wanted a tasty chicken sandwich and genuinely had no idea about the political battle surrounding the company, people lined up around the block.
Just like that, getting a sandwich from Chick-fil-A automatically meant that you’re against gay marriage. But, not all of the chicken chain’s values line up with conservative ideals.
