VH1 has a time slot to fill now that it’s yanked "Ev & Ocho" from the fall lineup.
There’s more fallout from the domestic altercation between Evelyn Lozada and Chad Johnson, and now the world may never see what it took to pull off their lavish St. Maarten wedding.
"Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series ‘Ev and Ocho’ from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it," VH1 said in a statement.
Originally, the show was set to debut on September 3 at 9:30 p.m., and the "Basketball Wives" spin-off was set to follow the couple as they prepped their highly publicized nuptials. The cancellation comes on the heels of news that Chad was cut from the Miami Dolphins just a day after his arrest.
This is much different from initial reports from ABC News that stated that VH1 planned to air "Ev & Ocho" despite the incident.
The show was already in jeopardy as one Spelman student started up a petition, prompting people not to watch it.
