Chad Johnson is trying to make amends for allegedly headbutting his estranged wife Evelyn Lozada.
The NFL player, who has seemingly lost everything following his domestic dispute with Evelyn, has issued an apology to his bride. He took to his website to address Evelyn, as he is still under orders to physically stay away from her.
"I would like to apologize to everyone for the recent events that have occurred," he stated. "I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death."
The statement came shortly after it was announced that Evelyn had filed for divorce from the NFL player. Following his arrest Saturday on charges of domestic battery, the Miami Dolphins dropped Chad from the team, but he’s not giving up on his career just yet.
"I will continue to be positive and train hard for another opportunity in the NFL," Chad stated before reaching out to his fans. "To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, you have my sincerest apologies. I will stay positive and get through this tough period in my life."
Not only has Chad lost his wife and his job, his spin-off with Evelyn, "Ev & Ocho," has been yanked from VH1′s fall lineup. If all that weren’t bad enough, HBO has now aired the moment that the Miami Dolphins dropped Chad as part of its "Hard Knocks" documentary. Take a look.
