Jennifer Williams was disturbed by news of the head-butting incident between her former BFF Evelyn Lozada and Chad Johnson.
“I did reach out to her just because when things like that happen, you just put all the other BS to the side. I wouldn’t want to see my worst enemy go through that,” said Jennifer, whose strained friendship with Evelyn was chronicled on season 4 of “Basketball Wives.”
“I was very distraught to hear that,” Jennifer told HipHollywood.com. “I think everyone knows I was a big advocate against violence, regardless of whether it was domestic violence or whether it was women fighting.”
The “BBW” star, whose future with the show is still uncertain, was ridiculed for not physically retaliating when Evelyn and her assistant, Nia Crooks, attacked her. Instead, Jennifer filed a lawsuit against Nia, who slapped her in the face, but later dropped the legal action.
“I don’t agree with violence. That isn’t how I was raised. I don’t think it’s right whether it’s on a TV show, or whether it’s in Starbucks or whether it’s in your home,” said Jennifer.
Despite all the violence and drama, Jennifer and Evelyn eventually mended fences during the season 4 reunion show, and they’ve apparently spoken since the incident with Chad.
“She’s trying to bounce back,” said Jennifer.
