K.Michelle isn’t blaming producers for what viewers may have seen of her on "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta."
The singer said she watched the season 1 reunion; although, the show had its outrageous moments, she’s not surprised by anything that went down, she told RumorFix.com.
"Nothing much shocks me," said K.Michelle, adding that she doesn’t really pay her cast mates much mind. “People are always asking me about the other girls on the show and I’m in my own bubble. I don’t pay attention to what’s going on and everything seems cool to me."
K.Michelle is cool with what she’s seen of herself on the show and the reunion, but she acknowledged that she’s got to work on some of her behavior.
“I have my blog. I have my issues. I’ll curse you out. That’s one of the issues I need to work on. I’m not a clean slate and I don’t portray that," she said. "I’m myself on TV. So my image to people… I can’t do anything about that because I am me.”
Too bad the show’s critics aren’t as accepting of K.Michelle and her co-stars just being themselves, as it’s often argued that shows like "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" and "Basketball Wives" portray minority women in the worst possible light.
“Half of the critics aren’t even Black women," K.Michelle said before bringing up another point. “It’s not our job to raise children.”
Speak of children, the singer has a son who has never seen "LHHATL."
“I don’t allow him to watch it. At the same time it’s life and life happens," said K.Michelle. "If you want to watch someone’s life on TV, you’re watching it with its highs and lows, and your life isn’t going to be any better."
