Tamar Braxton’s loud and diva-like attitude not only had fans quoting her “dot com” catchphrase, but it also landed her and hubby Vince a spin-off show, “Tamar & Vince.” The singer suggested that the series captures the true dynamic of their marriage.
"Everybody thinks that I run this house. I definitely don’t. He definitely does, and he is a divo,” she told Ebony magazine.
Tamar said Vince isn’t as quiet and laid back as he seems on “Braxton Family Values.” But, besides his “divo” tendencies, viewers will also see the couple’s ongoing struggle to conceive.
The two showcased their struggle to become parents during the most recent season of "BFV," and will continue to delve deeper this fall.
“We wanted to bring awareness to things that people were afraid to talk about. I just thought that it was very important for women to understand that when you hit 30 and 31— and people joke about a biological clock, but it is a real thing and it does tick,” she said.
The baby of the Braxton clan insisted the idea of a spin-off wasn’t exactly an immediate yes for her, but Vince talked her into doing it.
“He felt that it was necessary for people to see the other side of me. People only see me being the loudmouth, bratty younger sister and he was like, ‘there’s so much more to you than that,’ and I feel people definitely need to see that,” she said.
“Tamar & Vince” premieres September 20 on WE tv.
