Jamie Foxx can’t blame this on the alcohol. The comedian said he’s sorry for making fun of Miley Cyrus.
On Sunday’s broadcast of his radio show, "The Foxxhole," Jamie went on off on Miley for saying that she’d “ruin” Radiohead for dissing her at the Grammys. The trouble began when listener called in to talk about the incident.
"She’s going to ruin Radiohead’s career?” Jamie asked jokingly during the show. “The same Radiohead that gets paid a million dollars just to sample their song? That Radiohead?"
When he posed the question “Who is Miley Cyrus?” Jamie identified her as “the one with all the gums.” It only got worse from there as Jamie’s guests joined in, calling her a “little white b****.”
Jamie also compared Miley to some scandalous teen queens, and he suggested that she "make a sex tape and grow up. Get like Britney Spears and do some heroin. Do like Lindsay Lohan and get some crack in your pipe."
The comedian faced a near-immediate backlash for the crude comments; so Tuesday, Jamie had to take back what he said on Sirius.
"I so apologize to [Miley], and this is sincere," he said during an appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.” "I am a comedian; and you guys know that whatever I say, I don’t mean any of it. And sometimes, as comedians…we go a little bit too far."
“We’re really the Black Howard Stern. We go at everybody,” he continued. “I apologize for what I said. I didn’t mean it maliciously. You know I’m a comedian. You know my heart."
Just in case Miley missed it the first time, he then looked directly into the camera and apologized to her again.
"Miley, I apologize, so I’ll call you," he said. "I got a daughter too, so I completely understand."
