Fanatasia Barrino is getting her own reality show on VH1.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has given her a deal for the series that will follow her life as a singer and single mom.
This will be the second glimpse into her life as the recording star already did an autobiographical miniseries on Lifetime called Life Is Not A Fairytale: The Fantasia Barrino Story. It chronicled her life before she hit it big on Fox’s “American Idol.”
"Fantasia’s life has been an open book, but at 24 years old, her story has just begun," Executive Producer Randy Barbato told The Reporter. "We look forward to smashing expectations and revealing the fresh, funny and unexpected side of this one-of-a-kind country girl and superstar."
We wonder if they’ll catch her recording with new ATL housewife, Kandi Burruss?
Whether she’s on Broadway, TV, or our personal playlist, we love us some Fantasia. We can’t wait to see what the as-yet untitled show has in store for viewers when it premieres in early 2010.
And it seems like Keshia Knight-Pulliam really is going for hers now that she’s grown.
The Associated Press reports that she’s also signed a deal to star in a reality series about her and live-in boyfriend, Kaseem Penn. The show, which will air on Oxygen, will explore what it’s like for Keshia to be a rich woman “co-habitating” with her man.
The series will be titled “Keshia and Kaseem;” Oxygen is pretty good about keeping it simple. There’s no word on when the show will hit the air, but we’ll keep you posted.
