Even though Danity Kane has officially broken up, there are rumors that the girls are recording another album.
The whispers are largely fueled by their status on VISA MYPLASH’s official site, which states that they’re back in the studio recording a project called From the Ashes.
This doesn’t exactly mesh with what the girls said on Thursday night’s live finale of “Making the Band.” When asked if they’d consider reforming the group, the crowd was met with mixed reaction.
Former DK member Aubrey O’Day said she’d be open to it, but only if everything could work out. Neither Shannon Bex nor D. Woods blame any of the girls for DK’s down, but they said that a reunion isn’t possible right now.
"I will say that it was something that started from the beginning when this group was put together, and there wasn’t a sound foundation,” D. Woods explained. "I definitely feel like the season we had was wonderful, but right now, it’s a new chapter."
Each of the girls who showed up (recently ousted member Aundrea Fimbres was noticeably missing) shared their plans for the future.
D. Woods said that she’s dropping a solo album this summer, while Aubrey is heading back to Broadway. She’ll also be getting her own reality show. Shannon hinted that she may try her hand at country music. Dawn, the only remaining member still signed to Bad Boy, said that she’ll be working with Diddy on his next album, Last Train to Paris.
