Prince sued over bad book deal

Prince might be changing his moniker to defendant soon because of his book 21 Nights.

TMZ.com reports that Prince is being sued for about $200,000 over a book deal gone bad.

An unnamed literary agency filed suit in Los Angeles County Superior Court Tuesday, April 21. They claim Prince chose them to be his "exclusive agent with respect to the negotiations of a publishing deal."

The agency said the book deal fell apart around the final stages of negotiations because Prince stopped calling them back. They also allege that The Purple One then went behind their backs to finish up talks on the deal, which included a limited edition version of 21 Nights.

The company said that because of the miscommunication, they lost out on 15% commission (roughly $200,000) that they had been promised.
