Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Mel B and Russell Simmons are a bit of an anomaly. They eat at the hottest restaurants, get their drink on at the best nighclubs, yet still stay in shape?! Find out their secrets!
Kim Kardashian was seen trying out Reebok’s new fitness creation, the JUKARI Fit to Fly workout. The footwear company partnered with dance troupe Cirque du Soleil to come up with the innovative routines, which feature bars and ropes for stretching and tightening. It is currently available in New York at Equinox gym, in Boston at the Reebok World HQ and in Los Angeles at the Reebok Gym for Celebs.
Russell Simmons was demonstrating his yoga prowess in Park City, Utah during the Sundance Film Festival. The mogul has been practing the ancient Eastern workout for years and has said that he enjoys it because, "it’s a way to see life, no matter how difficult." Russell also enjoys the physical benefits, which include looking longer and leaner. For a list of yoga studios in your area, visit Yoga.com.
Nick Cannon seems to really be enjoying his sweat session with celeb personal trainer Gunnar Peterson (who also whipped J. Lo back into shape, post twins). Even if you don’t want guns like Nick, lifting weights can be a great addition to any workout regimen. A rule of thumb is to do more repetitions using lighter weights for lean-looking muscles.
Keyshia Cole didn’t let the Miami sun stop her from jogging. She regularly works out with trainer Jamel Davenport, who goes through a 45 to 60 minute routine with her that includes cardio (like jogging), weight training and ab exercises. We caught up with Jamel for our June 2009 issue and got a few tips on how to go from flab to fab for the summer. Pick up a copy to read what he had to say!
Mel B‘s body (after two kids, let us add) is crazy. She keeps her washboard abs and killer guns in check using some of the moves from her DVD, Mel B: Totally Fit. Check out the review we gave in the June issue of Sister 2 Sister. The former Spice Girl is also seen jogging regularly near her Los Angeles-area home.
