‘Dancing With The Stars’ recap: May 19

    Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani

When it came to the freestyle, Shawn proved to be an incredibly tough act for Melissa to follow.
She and Tony did lot of great tricks that reminded us of something we might see in the Jive. Overall, the choreography seemed a little two-dimensional to us, and we were waiting for Melissa and Tony to really break through. We think that in their case it might have been better to put a little more Latin flare on their dance.
However, we did appreciate the old school flavor the pair put on their dance and, shockingly, so did Bruno.
“I never thought I’d live to see the Running Man again, but you certainly put it in there,” he said.

Melissa and Tony got a 27 out of 30. That’s not a bad score, but in the finals that might be the kiss of death because it put her in last place for the judge’s votes.
    Total score: 56
