Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke
Gilles and Cheryl took it back…way back…back into time for their freestyle.
Cheryl’s led two stars to the top on “Dancing With The Stars.” She credits that in part to choreographing a Freestyle dance that really fit her past partners’ personalities.
Keeping that in mind, we were trying to figure out exactly what Gilles’ personality was since his dance was themed around Flashdance.
He seemed to be having a little problem with his shoulder while practicing the routine, but he pulled it together when it came time to compete. While Gilles was seriously focused on putting everything he had into the dance, you could tell that he was having a lot of fun with it. On this show, that counts for a lot.
The judges weren’t exactly bowled over with the performance, and they gave Gilles just 28 points. According to them, this was an odd choice for his freestyle and they wanted to see him actually dance more.
Total Score: 58
With two couples tied for first, it could be anyone’s show tonight. See who takes home the coveted mirrorball trophy when ABC airs “Dancing With The Stars: The Results” at 9 p.m.
