The Neelys get a ‘House of Payne’

It’s a clash of the TV families: Tyler Perry’s Payne family is sparring with the Food Network’s Neelys! Well, not really, but Cassi Davis and Lavan Davis (who play Ella and Curtis Payne on "House of Payne") will be stopping by to cook with Patrick (or Pat) and Gina Neely, who host "Down Home with the Neelys" this Saturday.

The Food Network’s Website offers a sneak peak of the show. We couldn’t help but notice how affectionate Cassi and LaVan are with each other, even though they aren’t married in real life. Pat and Gina also got a kick out of this.

"Look how they kind of touch and hug!" Gina said with a laugh. "What’s all that about?" Pat, who is her real-life husband, said that "these are two people that are married on the show, but are not married in real life, but he really looks after her, just like a real couple." How sweet!

You’ll have to catch the episode to see what the Neelys and the Davises got cooking, but, from the look of things, it was tasty.

Catch the show on the Food Network, June 13 at 11 a.m. EST.

    1. When you work with someone for a long time, it’s only natural that you have a certain bond with them and I suppose that being together for long periods of time, you develop a certain bondage with your co-star!! It really shows how much Gina and Patrick each other for them to so understand where you see marriages breaking up at the drop of a hat!! And I am sure there will be a real bondage between the Payne and Neely’s as well!!

    2. I’ve always loved Down Home with the Neely’s, but I suppose with a successful show, they always need to ‘mix’ things up with other executive envisioned drivel. I’ve never cared for ‘Payne’ and really wish we could keep the good separated from the bad. Let shows like Payne guest on each other, and bring in someone in the same vein, like Robert Clark – he’s done some amazing stuff lately.
