Kerry to make Broadway debut

Kerry Washington is heading to the Great White Way this fall.

EURweb.com reports that the actress has joined the cast of the Broadway play Race, which was created by David Mamet.

The play is set to begin previews on November 17, but it will officially open on December 6 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.

David has kept the project tightly under wraps since word of Race was first announced last spring. Unfortunately, that means there’s no information about the storyline or which character Kerry might be playing.

After watching Kerry in movies like Ray, Lakeview Terrace and I Think I Love My Wife, we know she’ll be able to handle anything that the stage can throw at her.

Her next big role is in the film Life Is Hot in Cracktown, which will open to limited release on June 26.
