Cameras won’t be rolling if Rihanna takes the stand to testify against Chris Brown on Monday.
The Los Angeles Superior Court has announced that Rihanna’s testimony in the preliminary hearing for Chris’ felony assault case will not be televised, according to EURweb.com.
It’s expected that prosecutors will call upon Rihanna as a witness to prove that Chris beat her up during their alleged altercation in February. Her lawyer, Donald Etra, said that the songbird has cleared her schedule so that she’ll be available in case she has to testify on June 22.
This comes just a day after news that Chris’ request to delay the hearing was denied. However, if he can finalize a plea deal before Monday, then the hearing will not be necessary.
Chris has previously pleaded not guilty to charges of felony assault and making criminal threats. If he’s convicted, he could get up to four years in prison.
