A judge has denied Katherine Jackson control of her son’s estate.
According to People.com, Katherine has put in a bid to become the interim administrator of Michael’s estate. John Branca and John McClain, who Michael named as the executors in his will from 2002, have control of his estate until August 3.
"We believe Judge Beckloff made the correct decision," said McClain and Branca’s attorney. "We intend to carry out the wishes Michael Jackson set forth. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Jackson family this week in remembering Michael as a beloved father, son and brother, and as the world honors his remarkable legacy as an artist."
A lawyer for the Jacksons said that the judge’s decision wasn’t entirely unexpected because it would be “strange” for Katherine to keep his kids and control his estate.
She along with Branca and McClain will be back in court next month, when the men will present their inventory of Michael’s estate.
