After a physical encounter with a crazed fan earlier this week, Leona Lewis has cancelled her book tour and left German fans hanging.
The British pop singer announced yesterday that she would be cancelling the rest of her book tour for her autobiography on the day she was scheduled to make her next stop in Germany.
The announcement comes after Leona was punched in the face by a fan at her book signing in London on Tuesday.
Following the incident, police quickly apprehended a man in his late 20s by the name of Peter Kowalczyk, who they believe to have mental problems. He was later charged with assault.
Leona was taken to the hospital with no injuries. She was just shaken up by the attack. According to Hollyscoop.com, the pop singer apologized to fans for her cancellation on her website.
"Thank you so much for your support it is truly overwhelming. Yesterday was a horrible shock and left me extremely hurt and upset. I’m very sorry to those I wasn’t able to meet at the signing. Thank you again for all of the lovely messages."
