‘Stomp’ sequel finds direction

Columbus Short could be heading back to Truth University as early a next month.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rob Hardy has agreed to direct Stomp The Yard 2: Homecoming for Rainforest Films. The movies is slated to begin production in Atlanta next month.

Meanwhile, Columbus Short, who starred in Stomp The Yard, is in talks to play lead character DJ again. The odds are pretty good that Columbus will reprise the role, since he’s also one of the producers for the sequel. There’s no word on who else from the original cast might also be coming back for Stomp The Yard 2: Homecoming.
Rob acted as executive producer on the original film, which hit theaters back in 2007, raking in about $74 million globally.
