Wyclef and Timberland keep it real with Mother Earth

The famous boot makers named Wyclef Jean as one of six Earthkeeper Heroes.

We all know Wyclef Jean is an uber-talented music man, but who knew he was also a treehugger? The Timberland Company recently announced Wyclef as one of six Earthkeeper Heroes, who will all help the company preserve the environment.
"I am truly humbled and excited to begin our journey together," Wyclef said. "Timberland is not only a brand I have worn as long as I can remember, but now I feel I have gained a friend in Jeff [Swartz, Timberland’s President and CEO] and the respect of what is beyond a brand…I am looking forward to making change together."
‘Clef was chosen because of his work with Yéle Haiti, which sponsors educational, sports, arts and environmental programs in the entertainer’s native country.
“Wyclef is a real-life Earthkeeper who shares our purpose and passion,” Timberland’s President and CEO Jeff Swartz said. “The work he’s doing in Haiti is a reminder that we all have the power to inspire change – and that joining forces may lead to even greater accomplishments. Between his fans and our customers, you can expect to see big things from this collaboration.”
