Three members of Team Paso Doble got the horns last night “Dancing With The Stars,” but which one lived to tell about it?
While Mya and her partner Dmitry Chaplin escaped elimination, their other teammates were not as lucky: Mark Dacascos, Michael Irvin, Aaron Carter and their respective partners were all in danger of getting booted from the ballroom. Because Tuesday was a dreaded double elimination night, so people had to go home.
Before we could find out who this week’s victims were, Mark Ballas and Derek Hough came out to perform a song. It was hot, steaming mess from beginning to end! For home viewers, this was just awkward to watch, and we can’t imagine that it was any better for the studio audience.
Back to Tuesday’s casualties, though. Former NFL player Michael Irvin was the first to go, and he was gracious in his exit. He expressed his gratitude for the fans support, and he somehow worked in a comment on the economy. It was a little random, but it made us smile.
That left Mark and Aaron to compete for a sport in next week’s show. Producers brought back the dance-off from last week. Even though they both put up an impressive performance, Aaron really outdid himself Tuesday with high-octane Jive to a Ray Charles classic, “Mess Around.”
That extra pop really pushed the young singer over the hill, earning him from all three of the judge. This meant that martial arts expert Mark was sent packing. We’ve loved him ever since the capoiera flick Only The Strong; his hosting gig on “Iron Chef” only solidified our fondness for him. And he was paired with our favorite female pro Lacey Schwimmer! We’re sad to see him go, but such is the nature of DWTS.
