‘Wendy’ sticks around for new seasons

Wendy Williams will be coming into your home for a few more years now that her show has been renewed.

Fox has decided to keep “The Wendy Williams Show” on the air through the 2011-2012 season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. While the shows ratings have improved in the last few weeks, “Wendy” hadn’t exactly been getting the ratings it desired in certain markets where the show is aired.
"We are extremely gratified by Fox’s faith in Wendy," said Debmar-Mercury co-president Mort Marcus. "Her substantial growth in the key ratings demos, which stations care about the most, has quickly put her program within striking distance of many of today’s most established and successful talk shows."
After officially debuting in July, Fox sees a bright future ahead for Wendy and her daytime dish show.
"We anticipate even further growth as the show continues to emerge as a key building block, and Wendy as a key personality of our daytime landscape," said Fox Senior VP of Programming Frank Cicha.
