Kandi Burruss of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” has just signed a new record deal.
The singer told BV buzz that she just inked a new contract with Asylum Records on Monday. Last we heard, Kandi was working on a deal with Capitol, but that Xagreement fell through. Supposedly, negotiations broke down some time between the end of production for this season of “RHOA” and when the first half of the reunion aired.
"I’m really excited about my new deal and releasing my CD to the masses,” said Kandi. “People got to hear some of my new music on the ‘Real Housewives’ show, but I’ve got so many more hits that I can’t wait to put out.”
Kandi already put out an EP of her new album B.L.O.G. on iTunes, but it only featured five tracks, including “Fly Above” and “Trade Him In.”
“It performed very well. But now I’m excited about dropping my full-length CD,” she said. “It’s been almost 10 years since I’ve put out a solo record. I guess I didn’t realize it had been that long!"
Look for the full version of B.L.O.G. to his stores in February 2010.
