‘Four Brothers’ sequel in development

Paramount is to adding to Tyrese’s family now that a sequel to John Singleton’s Four Brothers is in the works.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio is developing another installment of the 2005 film to be titled Five Brothers. The original film, directed by John Singleton, starred R&B crooner Tyrese, Andre 3000, Mark Wahlberg and Garret Hedlund as four brothers out to the avenge the murder of their adopted mother.

Behind the scenes, it seems the old gang is set to reunite for Five Brothers: Mark Wahlberg thought up the idea for a sequel with writers from Four Brothers, and Lorenzo Di Bonaventura is set to produce the film.

Although Mark is reportedly angling to star in Five Brothers, there is no word on how much of the original cast will be returning for the sequel. As a matter of fact, little is known about the plot of Five Brothers, which is being kept quiet.
It also remains to be seen whether John Singleton will sign on to direct.
