Haute couture for Haiti

Naomi Campbell and a few of her famous friends helped Haiti in high style during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
The supermodel hosted the Fashion for Relief show under the tents in New York’s Bryant Park on Friday.

We expected Naomi to walk the runway, but we were pleasantly surprised to see crooner Chris Brown come out looking quite dapper in a tuxedo. Bowties usually don’t work for us, but he pulled it off well. We were also excited to see Estelle’s brief catwalk cameo at the end as she rocked a To Haiti With Love t-shirt.

And in light of Alexander McQueen’s shocking suicide last week, Naomi organized a tribute to the fallen designer. The interlude featured several of Alexander’s designs ranging from the elegant to the outrageous.

    According to the
New York Daily News Fashion for Relief also featured pieces from Christian Dior,  Caroline Herrera, Dolce & Gabbana and Ralph Lauren. Fashionista eager to don to the designs will be ecstatic to hear that some of the dresses from the show will be up for auction on Net-A-Porter.com starting March 15.
